This marks the year of the official launch of the #BlackMenDon’tCheat (movement) I guess you would call it. First to clarify it’s been defined as (urban dictionary – The factual understanding amongst most intellectual people that those of black ethnicity and male gender do not cheat on their partners. The only thing they may do is slip up from time to time.
To explain more “Charlamagne Tha God” went further in depth to share his thoughts on infidelity and the movement. He clarified that the originator of the phrase is comedian Carlos Miller, and it’s a statement to black men not to cheat and to change the narrative. Uncle Char was also sure to add “Ever since I really, really started being faithful, my skin got clearer, my credit score jumped up…it’s just all about creating an emotionally, mentally and spiritually, healthy lifestyle.” He also talked about the effects of cheating with the following “I believes any man who can resist his sexual urges is a focused man and explained how detrimental infidelity is on the mental health of the black women affected by it. And of course, vice versus. “Just don’t cheat!”
As we all are aware infidelity is not really Taboo in the African American community, but its cliché’. Because not only all black men cheat. I believe it’s a new attempt to re-invent the image of the misunderstood black male. This would make for a great open discussion. First let’s take the time to review the following

What is Monogamy – The practice or state of being married to one person at a time or the practice or state of having a sexual relationship with only one partner at a time.
Are humans made or meant to be monogamous? Most of the science world believes that we should be a part of a large animal eco-system. However I’m no animal so I believe we should use Human intelligence and act like HUMANS, a thought above an animal.
Statistics show that 54 percent of Americans know someone who has had an unfaithful spouse. However in 1991 Shere Hite found that 70% of married women have cheated on their partners, and 72% of married men has as well.
So do all black men cheat? NO although based on statistics a vast majority of (MEN) and WOMEN too will always have a problem with Monogamy. Hence why it is important to be selfish in your pursuit to BLISS. In the meantime leave that Woman’s Man alone.
